I had my first Smoked Salmon Bagel when, at the age of 17, I visited New York. It was my first time in the USA and I spent 3 weeks in NYC as part of a school exchange program. I have always loved smoked salmon, but I had never had it with cream cheese before. In Italy, we would usually serve it on toast with butter. It was love at first bite and since then, Smoked Salmon Bagel has become my favourite sandwich. Making it is really easy and there are no real proportions… all the ingredients are “to taste”, so you can add as much or as little capers/onions you like. I hope you like it just as much as I do! Enjoy!
