I know I haven’t posted enough seafood recipes!! So today I will try and remedy that. Have you ever eaten fried calamari rings at your local Fish and Chips eatery? Well, forget about it as today I will show you how easy and quick it is to make them at home. Besides, when buying your own calamari you can make sure they are fresh and not frozen. Fresh calamari taste sooo much better! They are tender and mild in flavour. If you follow my recipe you will be able to enjoy crisp and delicious calamari, the way we eat them in Italy. Whenever I make them, I serve them with a glass of cold white wine and imagine I am sitting at a table in front of the Mediterranean sea, enjoying the breeze and the fresh catch of the day! Enjoy!

Fried Calamari
How to make crisp Fried Calamari rings at home!
Ingredients
- 750 gms - 1.65 lbs. Calamari cleaned and cut in rings
- Flour to coat
- Salt to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
Recipe Notes
Be careful when frying the calamari as they cause the oil to splatter and you can get burnt! I usually fry them in a deep fryer.
